Ignoring this feud, two songs I never want to hear again are Concrete Angel and Independence Day by Martina McBride. They were traumatic for me as a young kid because they are both songs about domestic abuse. The music videos are cringe-inducing sadness and the lyrics are upsetting and depressing. The songs are just pure cases of miserable country music.
There is a scene in Independence Day where the girl arrives home to find her mother set the house on fire killing both her and her abusive father. I was in tears for HOURS after imaging if that was me.
