Daria is finally getting a long-awaited Dvd release. After tweleve years, we could possibly the complete series of Daria on Dvd, rather than the two single disc Dvds available now. When a person or staff member receieved a Dvd of a long-awaited MTV show, he saw an ad exclaiming that Daria would be out sometime in 2010. Below you can find the ad, a link for more information, and a picture of the screen telling fans about the 2010 release. Image from ad. Leaked ad. Yeah, I heard about this in November from the Paper Pusher forums. No word on what month or date, but Mtv/Paramount are finally thinking about it.
One of the reasons I'm not so excited is that I know they're going to change the music. They would never pay for it, it's way too expensive. I'm sure to know how expensive it would be would shock even me. I don't want to hear replacement music. It never works. This is also why I won't buy The Real World on DVD. And why they never released season 2. or 3. or 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9...

I hope they dont replace the theme song. The theme song was great. I already have a bootleg with uncut episodes in excellent quality. I watched a few today as well. I have just been informed that The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is finally getting season 5 out after having music complications for years now. They kept having to pay more and more for the rights for every season. Its a shame to see that good TV shows like Malcolm in the Middle cant come to Dvd because of something as silly as music issues.

I know, I was just making a statement I hope it doesnt get caught up in the music-changing plan.

Yeah, I knew about that. I was actually about to post something about that. But I would want someone else to tell me what they think about the musical replacements. Someone who could give us details. I'm not buying this set - I WANT those original songs. If I can't get them, I'm out of the fold.
Unless the set goes REALLY cheap.

If episodes were removed dude, then I wont buy them. I think youre making this a bigger deal. If you want the originals so bad, find them online or just buy a bootleg. Usually, when a series come to Dvd that I have been waiting for (Like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Season 5). Its not the same music, but I just want the episodes. I dont let music get in the way. I'm just glad I got the episodes.
