So what are some movie franchises that are still going or can keep on going that just need to die? And why? Here is my list: The Twilight Saga (self-explanatory) Transformers (All of this franchise needs to die, and this is coming from a TF fan.) Star Wars (George Lucas should not make a sequel trilogy! ) Pirates of the Carribean (It has only had three movies so far and it has already dragged itself out for too long.) Resident Evil (The life from the video games continue to be sucked away.) Saw (self-explanatory) Spoof movies (self-explanatory) Shrek (The fourth movie had better been the last!) Final Destination (Isn't everyone else getting tired of the over-the-top deaths?) G.I. Joe (Please stop making Hasbro look bad, H-wood!)

Agree with everyone except for Final Destination. If the fifth one keeps the original's flow like they said it does than I'll except that and want a sequel. Other than, you're spot on. I believe Scream and Toy Story should die for the right reason; they left off on good notes and don't need sequels to tamper with their already respectable reputations.

You're title to your opinion on Final Destination, dude. Though, I don't really care for it myself, even though my brother used to really enjoy that film series. On other hand, if they are going to continue the franchise, I hope they will do one that will involve the apocalypse (have something occur that will effect the whole world and not just a bunch of select individuals). Also, I don't really care if the Scream franchise continues to live or dies. Though, I really hope that the Toy Story franchise will be laid to rest, since a fourth film would be as unnecessary as an Lotr 4 (which is impossible to continue since it had an absolute ending).

You and that apocalyptic myth . Final Destination is meant to only affect a small group of people at one designated event. Plus, I still love the death schemes for those movies.

Hey, like the rest of humanity, the myth of the Great End fascinates me (regardless of when it will occur). But yeah, I think that if they decided to wrap up the franchise, they should do it with the apocalypse. Have it be something along the lines of Knowing and/or 2012: The Movie, but still have it start out with one designated event. I do think that would be interesting, wouldn't you?

Maybe the world could end or something but some scientist makes some shit to stop it leaving everyone in the whole world cheating death. Then they start dying group by gropu, continent by continent. But still that would be a HUGE, $60 million+ movie.

All of them.
No seriously, I'm not trying to be funny. I cannot name one franchise I currently like. I also don't think I have ever completely liked a franchise. The closest I've come are Alien and Terminator. All others can die off as far as I'm concerned.

The Spiderman Franchise! Their rebooting it that was good as it is but when Toby Mcguiere left the movies they have to reboot it come on already! I want to see new villians not the same ones over. James Bond is another most of the original cast are dead so put a end to these movies because all he does is stop the villian and sleeps with the girl ( which makes me wonder does he have any illegitiment kids or have any STD's)? So those are another two franchise movie I think should die!

Think about it, if you can't get Arnold to be in The Terminator don't even make one. Alien is just overloaded with shitty sequels to AVP. Both of them should die.

I agree to because Arnold is not that fit anymore and AVP were a bunch a shit movies! I heard that there's going to be another Terminator movie with Christian Bale again here a smilies that sums up my opinon!

Terminator will not be good without James Cameron, even with Arnold and even without Edward Furlong (see T3). All of them. No seriously, I'm not trying to be funny. I cannot name one franchise I currently like. I also don't think I have ever completely liked a franchise. The closest I've come are Alien and Terminator. All others can die off as far as I'm concerned. Alien and The Terminator should die off. Think about it, if you can't get Arnold to be in The Terminator don't even make one. Alien is just overloaded with shitty sequels to AVP. Both of them should die. Ridley Scott was apparently working on a prequel to Alien, with HR Giger helping. Giger did the original Alien designs. He's got a real warped mind, but he designs great looking creatures. This was turned into a different thing entirely (called Paradise I think?). This is actually kind of disappointing to me. It was supposed to fill in the backstory of the series, and with Scott and Giger it could be good. But yeah, AVP is pure garbage. Resurrection wasn't very good at all too. I like Alien 3 but I admit it's got some faults. T1 is fantastic, T2 is good, T3 is shit, and TS is shit. Aliens is the best action film of all time. Alien is pretty good too. So yeah, these franchises have a bit of a shaky history, with highs and lows. The Fast and The Furious Those movies suck Donkey Kongs Balls! F&F 1 is a film I unabashedly enjoy. A great mix of "so bad its good" with some actual good that it works really well. 2F2F is just goddamn nonsense. Tokyo Drift is the greatest movie ever made.

Plus, like you said, it would have a production budget of $60 million if not more. I guess FD does work best when it is one small select group of individuals, but it is always fun to imagine it taking an apocalyptic turn. What you described sounds pretty much like how it would probably turn out.
