I don't know if any of you guys have Comcast, DirecTV, or Dish Network, but if you do, you have the network Teennick (channel 303 for DirecTV, not sure about the others). Starting Monday, July 25, Teennick is reviving old nineties shows from 11pm - 3am (Central Time). Every night. Personally, I'm insanely excited. The week's starting lineup is. 11pm: All That. 11:30pm: Kenan & Kel (my favorite). Midnight: Clarissa Explains it All. 12:30am: Doug. Other shows that are expected to get their run: Aaahh!!! Real Monsters The Adventures of Pete & Pete The Amanda Show Are You Afraid of the Dark? CatDog Double Dare GUTS Hey Arnold! Legends of the Hidden Temple Rocket Power The Ren & Stimpy Show Rocko's Modern Life Rugrats Salute Your ShortsI'll definitely be watching this. I've been waiting forever for Nick to start airing nineties TV. I'm just pissed they're airing it in the middle of the night, but frankly, at this point I think it's the best we're going to get. Can't wait for this. Haven't seen many of this shows since I was like 11 or 12. Kenan & Kel was on during the summer of '09 (cue music: those were the best days of my life). I would wake up at 6:00am to watch it from 7am - 8am.

I feel that show is legitimately good and stands up well outside of the nostalgia setting. I'll watch all of these shows except Salute Your Shorts and Are You Afraid of the Dark. I just never watched those shows as a kid. Although I think a member of Rilo Kiley was on Salute Your Shorts so I'll check it out for that reason only. Also, Legend of the Hidden Temple is the best goddamn game show of all time.

I'm excited for Kenan and Kel and GUTS. They brought that one back and changed the name to My Family's Got GUTS with Ben Lyons hosting.

Legends of the Hidden Temple was the most ridiculous goddamn game show of all time. There was a crazy talking stone head and everything was done with an Aztec theme. It was all cheap TV props though so their "Ancient Babylonian Wheels" were spraypainted. The host was the usual overexcited and slightly creepy guy. The teams all had stupid names like "Red Jaguars" and "Purple Parrots."
Also, these kids are super young yet they know all the right answers to questions like "Did Bavaria later become part of Switzerland, Germany, or Denmark."
I mainly watched GUTS for the awesome theme.

Pretty cool. Very nineties. Actually want to watch Legends of the Hidden Temple really bad right now. But my favorite game show has always been Press Your Luck.

It premiered last night, and I watched up until Clarissa Explains it All (until Midnight). It was amazing. Seriously, the biggest television event for me in years. Just how I wanted it to be. Slightly cried when Kenan & Kel came on. I don't think Nick realizes the emotional attachment a lot of us have to all these shows. They need to make a Nick Rewind Channel with all the shows from the nineties. It will cost a lot, but they will get the ratings thru the roof.
Also, there was an anthem they played at 11pm on the dot. Such a catchy tune. I'll be singing this all day.

Saw some Kenan and Kel and Clarissa Explains It All last night. I haven't seen either of these shows. Both were pretty funny. It was more just a pleasant experience. Upbeat, fun, silly shows. The one nitpick I have with 90's Are All That is the little tags that pop up for Twitter and Facebook at the bottom of the screen. It seemed a little out of place for this piece of nostalgia.
Another sort of weird thing is weird Clarissa Explains It All. I'd never seen that show before and was stunned by how weak the laugh track is. There is almost none of it and when it is there is just sounds like a few people. That's not the funniest show in the world but still, I've seen much less funny shows have uproarious laugh tracks.

My only complaint is they cut out a lot of All That clips. They shortened "Vital Information," and they cut the musical performances. Plus every other show, I believe, started at season one (from the beginning) while All That started at season two. It's still amazing to see these shows back.
Love that episode.

That bit went from funny, to going on way too long, back to very funny.

You can see the cameraman behind Kenan in one shot. That I can't get over.

While the lineup now is solid (I only watch Kenan & Kel and Clarissa Explains It All) the best is yet to come with Ren and Stimpy, CatDog, and Pete and Pete. I hope they only take Ren and Stimpy episodes from the first two seasons though.

All That and Doug have not help up well enough for me to watch. I haven't watched any of the 4 shows prior so there's no nostalgia. Kenan and Kel and Clarissa Explains It All work fine without nostalgia though.
