When one brings up “Gigli,” “Fantastic Four,” and “A Dirty Shame” up in conversation, one just assumes they are well-versed in films of questionable content. The first one is one of the biggest textbook bombs in Hollywood, which scathed the careers of both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez for many years, largely until Ben Affleck broke out of his shell by making more assured projects behind the camera, the second was an underwhelming start to what Marvel initially planned to be a huge film franchise, and the third is a bizarre sex comedy that added to the laundry list of NC-17 bombs.
