It's your own fault. You have to keep trying to make me believe Freddy vs. Jason isn't that bad.

Do you think that Freddy vs. Jason is worse than Epic Movie?

I dont think NP would put up with a parody film. Hey dude, I'd sooner watch Freddy vs. Jason, or even The Master of Disguise, before I ever watch Epic Movie again!

Revisiting this thread again, I want to bring up one issue I've been debating for a while. I want to make a thread called "The Ultimate Friday the 13th Thread" that deals with a bunch of pictures/lines/favorite anything from the thirteen or so films. I'd also like to see if NP would be willing to write reviews of every film (up until Freddy vs. Jason, no need to waste time, talent, and typing on a movie that doesn't try to be different or good).
Tell me what you guys think and I'd love to make a thread like this - that is, I want it to be a constant conversation like thread. Not four or five posts and no more like most threads, maybe even a sticky if the time is right.

Looks like my plans for an ultimate thread have fallen through the cracks because no NP is gone so we can't here is highly educated opinions on the films.

Well I saw Friday The 13th The Final Chapter on the big screen when it was released here in 1984 I think it was and loved it , me and my friends went and brought another ticket for the next session right away. Looking at it now it had degraded a bit for me as so many better horror's have been out since but it is still one of favorites.
By the time the series got to Jason Takes Manhatten we all knew the writing was on the wall for this classic series , sure we got Freddy vs Jason later on and Jason X but they were getting a bit thin on ideas in general-when you think about it there is only so many ways you can kill people in these types of films and most of them had been done to death (excuse the pun). I thought the remake was not too bad with a couple of new things in there but I just wonder where else they can take the series now , mind you there is a new generation of teens coming through -so I can see more on the horizon.

Well, regardless of how cheap and silly these movies could be, I loved the original Paramount series. Here's my major opinion, and I'm sure I did this TO DEATH in my Spotlight series on MfH, but- it was given life in the 80's and it was meant to die in the 80's. This series was never meant to turn into Invasion of the Evil Dead Body Snatchers or Slashers Wrestlemania: Clash of the Titans. Paramount birthed it and put it to sleep, New Line Cinema pissed on its' grave and then danced in the puddle.

This series was never meant to turn into Invasion of the Evil Dead Body Snatchers or Slashers Wrestlemania: Clash of the Titans. Paramount birthed it and put it to sleep, New Line Cinema pissed on its' grave and then danced in the puddle. I kinda see how you stated that! The originals were the best but ever since New Line bought them out then movies were getting a little bit shitty especially with Jason goes to Hell because Jason not in it til the very end of the movie. Jason X was another one with him becoming Cyborg Jason, Then there's Freddy vs. Jason don't get me wrong I like Freddy still but the movie left me a little bit empty! Then there is the reboot of the series which is a total shit fest. But another thing I miss is Tom Savini's Blood and gore in the movies he did it great job in 80's but I think ever since they gone to digital blood it didn't seem right. I think that Kane Hodder is the best Jason ever because he knew how to be like Jason just as Robert Englund was and will be the best Freddy ever. I think ever since the 80's came to a close Friday the 13th just became a dead series because Paramount knew how to it right and New Line just raped and shited on the Franchise. But there's one thing I like to do after I watched this franchise I to put my Friday the 13th video game in my NES and start to play it because makes me feel like I'm trying to stop this Hockey Masked killer! Sol yes NP I know what you mean with this franchise!
