No special order (that I know of : ) 1. Roseanne - obviously. It's the smartest and most historically important sitcom ever made. Not just hilarious, but really smart and has a lot of integrity. Actually handled several serious issues in a very real way. It unfortunately got a little silly and unfunny as the seasons went on. Especially when they won the money and went to Martha's Vineyard and Roseanne became a martial arts hero on a train and the episode with Leon's wedding. But there were always redeeming moments. And for several seasons (especially season's 4 and 5!!!), the writing was so incredible! Best episodes (click to watch parts I've selected): "Therapy", "This Old House" ( 1 , 2 , 3 , 4), "Aliens" ( 1, 2, 3), "War and Peace" ( 1, 2, 3) 2. The Nanny - I'm actually a hopeless romantic. So, I enjoy watching shows with equally-hopelessly romantic people and the complications of their love-lives stretched to the brink for comic effect. It often makes for some very funny or at least distracting ( Mad About You) television. The Nanny is kind of like Who's the Boss?, only with more backbone, funnier jokes, more physical comedy, and some fairly ingenius twists on the formula. Speaking of hopeless...my favorite thing about the show has become Niles & C.C. You have to admit, even if you're not that romantic, that their scenes together are freaking funny. Favorite scenes (click to watch parts I've selected): " The Dummy Twins," " Whine Cellar," " Fran Gets Mugged," " Call Me Fran" Best Quotes: "A man like you deserves a good finger every now and then." - Fran: "She's very sensitive. She senses doom." Mr. Sheffield: "Miss Fine, Grace senses doom at Disneyland." 3. Chef! - this is a fairly tragic series. It starts out with one of the best first series in British sitcom history. Which of course means, it has nowhere to go but down. And it does. Fast. It lasted 3 series (that's the British version of a "season" of our tv), and the 3rd series is practically unwatchable. It's terrible. But, that first series is still perfection. I kind of liken it to a good version of The Cosby Show - which is one of the most boring excuses for a sitcom ever forced onto the American viewing public. On that show, you see a "funny" black husband and wife duo battle each other and their silly kids. Well, let me just say- Gareth and Janice Blackstock from Chef! would make Clair and Cliff Huxtable breakdown, sobbing and crying! Gareth and Janice are the real deal when it comes to a successful black couple. The show's most remembered scene (click to watch parts I've selected): "Beyond the Pass". It's not my favorite, altogether. But, I link it for a reason, it's actually one of Lola's best moments. - "Beyond the Pass" (2:46) = Gareth's amazing rant against banks "Subject to Contract" (5:36) = my favorite Lucinda moment "Rice and Peas" (8:30) = another great Lucinda moment 4. Scrubs - since this is now the most popular show of those on my list, I know I don't need to talk it up at all. I hardly have to go on about this show's brilliance. To say the least- you really find it impossible to walk away from these characters. My favorites: Carla, Dr. Kelso, Elliot, The Janitor, Jordan, Dr. Cox, and Dr. Miller. 5. Absolutely Fabulous - who ever knew a show about two older women getting drunk, doing drugs, and trying to recapture their youth at all the most fashionable hotspots, with the hottest new trends...could be so addictive? The show, in its' excess, is timelessly fun to watch. The louder Jennifer Saunders yells, the more compelling it is. And her squabbles with Julia Sawalha are classic. Best Episode (click to watch parts I've selected): "Birthday" ( 1, 2, 3) back from the Marilyn Manson concert (2:43) My favorite dialogue: "Small Opening" = 1 (9:20) + 2Patsy & Edina's awesome rant on "Top of the Pops"

Compared to King of Queens, all the lesser episodes of The Nanny are perfect. And, unlike Ray Romano's show, there are actually funny jokes and many great comedic moments in Nanny.

1) Arrested Development: Blessed with an impecable cast (including a young Michael Cera) Arrested Development is undoubtedly the funniest, sharpest, most subtle show to ever be on television. 2) Mr Show with Bob and David: No sketch comedy show has ever reached the heights Mr. Show has. Sure, some skits fell flat on their face, but the ones that worked, were simply fucking incredible. Mr. Show was truly original and unlike anything you've ever seen. 3) LOST: A show that can be equal parts amazing and infuriating, LOST is undoubtedly one of the most memorable and significant shows ever. For every character or episode I hated, there were three that I loved. By the fourth season, when the really crazy stuff started to happen, you were willing to go along with it because you were so invested in the characters. At its core, LOST is not a sci fi show, nor is it a show about survival. It's a show about people lost (both literally and metaphorically) in their own lives. 4) Seinfeld: A watershed moment in television history. The moment when the old sitcom formula was thrown out the window for something entirely new. Some of the funniest moments in television history occurred during Seinfeld's 9 year run. The show ran out of steam during the last 2 seasons (mostly due to Larry David's departure) but there was so much great comedy packed into the previous seasons, that the lackluster 8 and 9 could be overlooked. 5) Star Trek: The Next Generation: Most shows go downhill as the seasons progress. TNG is the opposite of this. As the show went on, it got smarter and more original and managed to keep you engaged. The Next Generation is some of the smartest sci fi you'll ever see.

A few more of my favorites: 6) The State: Before The Situation was flexing his abs on the Jersey Shore, Capt. Monterey Jack was professing the importance of shoelaces on The State. Weird, funny, and original, The State is probably the best thing MTV ever aired, music or otherwise. 7) Mystery Science Theater 3000: The premise of MST3k is ingenius in its' simplicity. Turn the bad movie mocking so many of us do into a show. While MST3k is amazingly funny, what really makes it stand out is the personality. The crazy story that would bookend the movie watching was ridiculous and fun.

Haven't seen this State, but it would be beyond difficult for any show to top Daria's first season.
