The duo take on a long-awaited topic in, Penn and Teller: Bullshit!
Episode: "Fast Food" (Season 8, Episode 2).
Rating: 3/4 stars.
What a fun episode this was. Digging deep into a topic that has struck much controversy and made a lot of obesity activists aggravated are what P&T do best. But not only does it aggravate many people, but it sure puts more dollars into governments pockets as well. Fast Food is the name of the game in this Bullshit! episode. After giving their ideas on why Cheerleading should be considered a sport, the duo figured they could bring up and ask the question, is fast food that big of a deal? Apparently too activists and the National Action Against Obesity (NAAO), it definitely is.
Personally, fast food is harmless. Its us who are the harmful creature. The fast food doesn't walk in, forcing itself down our throats, we do. Americans eat at an uncontrollable rate. We dont know when to stop. We eat, eat, and eat until we're satisfied. End of story. P&T also talk to a specialist who conducts a typical study to see if regular consumers can tell the difference from soup that is said to be fast food and soup that is said to be gourmet soup from a fictional restaurant that is just mixed up KFC, same goes with the salad they do as well. Its funny how people are so afraid of the word "Fast Food" an just assume so many calories are packed into it. Its like a word is more powerful than the actual thing and people cant handle it. We should all just ban words, not items.
Though P&T do an excellent job stating reason on why they believe fast food is just an overrated item that is just harmful if overused. All the criticism and complaints about the food are just, well, Bullshit.
Starring: Penn Jillette and "Raymond Joseph" Teller. Directed by: Star Price.
