Why did you want -8,000, Hawk? Don't you realize that is a negative right there?

Here's my complaint. I rented God Bless America off of Zune for 800 Microsoft Points (that's quite a bit for a film, normally it's 360 but the film was released on their before being released theatrically). Once you press play on a rented movie, you have twenty-four hours to finish it before it expires. So I watched an hour of it last night and planned to watch the other forty minutes this morning. There was a glitch, and for some reason I couldn't start the movie and it acted like it expired. It wasn't, I can assure you, since I bought it at 4pm, but now I have to go and re-rent it (I was REALLY enjoying it too). The only good thing is that the price went down to 560 points because the film went theatrical today. The novelty of "see it now before it's in theaters" has no meaning anymore. Just sucks I have to spend 1,360 points (roughly fifteen dollars in currency) on one film. Frustrating, but I'll live. Until May 22 when FOUR things I want to see come out.

URGENT Everyone needs to read this. Our government has just sent troops into Yemen. www.csmonitor.com/USA/Military/2012/0511/US-sends-troops-to-Yemen-as-Al-Qaeda-gains-groundThis is exactly what happened with Vietnam. Gradually, the government escalated the war. Yemen is a country that has more guns that people. By invading this country we're making a bad decision. All of the populace is armed and dangerous. Right now, only a few extremists hate America. But if we start sending troops into their homes we'll have made millions more enemies. If you think that's bad, then just wait till our government sends troops into Syria. Between Yemen and Syria, that is when US will sink into deep water.

Complaint at the moment: This board seems to be dying yet again. I don't believe so. It's not as active as I want it to be, but it's still sweet and productive. My complaint; Chicago is going to be in hell this week. That NATO summit, which I have utterly no opinion on, is taking place and we have fighter jets in the sky to prevent terrorist attacks or whatever cockamamie event might happen, along with hundreds of cops and SWAT members. The largest and most violent protests are scheduled for Sunday. Will be updating you guys on this if you want.

That event sounds HUGE and yet we are hearing little about it in the mainstream news. With what you've described so far, there's no doubt that they'll be a lot of feds, especially Secret Service agents, that will partake in the security of the summit. Has Chicago ever seen such government activity the likes of this before?

Has Chicago ever seen such government activity the likes of this before? Hell, we're always the go-to people for controversial summits. In 1968, we held the Democratic Convention that turned Chicago into a violent, worldwind of hell. So far, nothing major has happened. Everything is pretty mild down there. Man, I'm glad I live deep in suburbia so I can avoid this BS. My dad's friend who works at a place downtown said that he was off yesterday, today, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and possibly Tuesday for this convention. The only reason we even have it here is because Mayor Rahm Emmanuel believed it would be "cool" to have it down here. Cool like vandalism, destruction of public property, and nonsensical, hypocritical protesting from Occupy people who can't do anything more complex than standing in a line and ordering food? Yeah, real damn cool. Another healthy complaint today. Next to my desktop computer I have this old black phone from, I think, 1991. Surprised the damn thing still works. We need a phone line connected to the computer and this one does the job well. You can call out (takes a minute to dial) and very rarely does someone even call it (it also makes this obnoxious, deafening, jolting ring loud enough to wake the dead). The last few nights these market researchers have called at roughly the same time to get my opinion on surveys. Yesterday, the pipefitters connection was bad and he never called back. Today, the guy was mad that I wasn't a woman so he told me that the male quota was full. Man, I like doing these things and I can never get in one.

The US Netflix has a barrage of films, some of which I'm shocked even are still in the system. I can't comment on their Instant Watch service due to no longer having it (I really do miss it), but the DVD service is sublime.

If only they had every movie ever made available, then I would be happy. I hate the idea of having some movies being exclusive for delivering, but even that would not be so bad if they had all movies available. I am amazed there are some movies I cannot find anywhere on Netflix (such as Ichi the Killer). 2nd Complaint: I had to look away as the solar eclipse took place, for I did not have protective eyewear. It was only a partial eclipse where I live, it was cloudly (which deflects some of the sun's rays), and I could have only taken a quick glimpse, but I did not want to risk it. I already have to wear glasses every now and then, especially when I am reading a blackboard, so I do not want to damage them any further.

The idea of one movie service having every film ever made is wishful thinking. Of course there will be some films that will not be available because of the disc being out of print, too many damaged copies, etc. Netflix is a great service. Fast, cheap, and extensive. If only the waits were shorter . My complaint: I have to be a part of this scene reenactment in English today. I only say one line (something I'm very happy about) but have to wear a damn toga. I hate wearing or doing something in front of the class where the possibility of me embarassing myself always looms.
