Probably going to watch Woody Allen's Annie Hall tonight. Still need to see Brokeback Mountain, which I've had from Netflix for almost a month now.
May 17th: This weekend. Much more peaceful considering last week's was a party.
Friday: Bananas Saturday: The Dictator and Brokeback Mountain Sunday: Bernie and Horse Feathers
May 21st: Just found out that Piranha 3DD will be playing on DirecTV Cinema the same exact day it hits theaters (theatrical or wide, I'm not sure). That stuns me, since the first went to theaters, was fairly successful, and how the hell will it be "3DD" on regular TV? Don't know, don't care. Will watch it on June 1st.
May 27th: Joe Dirt and maybe Punch-Drunk Love today.
May 29th: The Hurt Locker and Big Daddy today.
June 1st: The Experiment and Piranha 3DD today. Looking forward to both.
June 5th: Courageous tonight.

Prometheus and maybe Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
June 11th: Still contemplating what I'm watching today. Maybe A Perfect World, but I'm not 100% yet.

Friend of mine let me borrow the Sean Astin film, Demoted, so I'll have to watch that pretty soon. Going to try and do The Triplets of Belleville and maybe Eight Legged Freaks today.
Really want to watch this controversial film from 2003 called The Dreamers. Remember being fascinated by it as a kid, because it was the first NC-17 film I saw advertised in the paper.
June 21st: Lake Placid (what more can you say about that?) and Weekend today.

Not sure yet. Just spent another few hours getting very good results from Netflix: Watch Instant, so chances are that I can actually watch another movie. I have designs on trying Gosford Park. We'll see what happens.

Lake Placid (what more can you say about that?) and Weekend today. Really, I thought you'd have gone to see Brave. Well, even if I wanted to, today's Thursday, and it doesn't come out till Friday. Anyway, it's truly impossible. Don't think I can even see it in theaters. Friday won't work, Saturday is ungodly busy for me, and I'll only get out to see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Sunday, I would go see Moonrise Kingdom, but I have to go to this family party. Aggravates the crap out of me. Hoping to see Moonrise and Ted next week.

Got all the Marx Brothers movies from my uncle (or, at least all I want to watch). Will try and get to them before July gets going (should have them all watched by, say, the fifteenth or so).

Next on the deck; Cyrus and something else. Might be Act of Valor, but not entirely sure yet.

If Mike comes over, the likelihood is I won't watch anything today (gasp!), if he doesn't, then there's Journey 2 to be watched. But who knows, it's a battle trying to get him to answer his phone.

I'm sure the both of you are dying to see Magic Mike. I'd like to. It seems like a fair effort from Soderbergh, and more substantial than just mindless "girls night out" fare. Probably won't go see in theaters, though. Still trying to devise a plan to see Brave.

Cherry 2000 was the first in a planned review trilogy. So, I'll probably do the others before the weekend's out.

Kinyarwanda Having seen Hotel Rwanda recently, I'm seeing Kinyarwanda for the sole purpose of seeing how the two films compare- do they complement each other, or do they offer differing accounts of the genocide? In Hotel Rwanda, the director is making a clear cut statement that he holds the west accountable for not intervening to stop the genocide. From what I understand, Kinyarwanda focuses more on the smaller picture and is a more humanistic film- I'll just have to wait and see. (Wow, I feel like Steve. I mean look at me, watching two movies to see how they "complement" each other.) That's a film I definitely want to get out and see eventually. I never saw Hotel Rwanda, but Ebert placed Kinyarwanda number four on his best films of 2011. Tomorrow, I'm either seeing Madea's Witness Protection or Magic Mike.
