Aside from the notorious and perpetually irritating coverage of the potential, the impossibility, and the ongoing struggle to get “Ghostbusters 3” made, no other film stuck in development hell has received as much coverage as “Hellboy 3.” A sequel to both the 2004 origin story and the 2008 sequel focusing on the witty and brooding beast of an anti-hero from Dark Horse Comics’ original comic book series, “Hellboy 3” was said to be a massive spectacle of epic proportions.
