Getting a new ASUS laptop tomorrow. Got twice the hardware of my old Mac for about $900 less than the Mac I was looking at. That means that regular semi monthly service will resume shortly. On an unrelated note, I just bought a vinyl of The Headstones' first album. Hugh Dillon=master Canadian.

Not sure if you guys know this or not, but all I wear are gray shirts and gray sweatpants - year round. Today, found some excellent gray shirts called "Dri-Star" which are thin, microfiber material (my favorite kind) that keep you cool and minimize the absorbance or sweat in your clothes. Damn things are so soft, can't help but rub myself like a moron.

Day off. Got to be something good about that.
Too hot to do anything anyway (in fact, all I'm wearing is a towel- 90 degree days bring out my inner nudist). I hope you guys have air conditioning.

Yes, and boy is it on. It's about 84 in the Chi, but remember, we have ghastly humidity which increases the temperature about four degrees or so. Coolest day in a while, after having six ninety degree days in a row.

I guess we were spoiled, before yesterday- it was 80 max and no humidity. Yesterday changed everything.

Saw my first night movie (7:10pm); Wes Anderson's invaluable Moonrise Kingdom. Fine filmmaking in every sense.

Based on a suggestion by the Great Mr. Steve Pulaski, I actually looked into finding a more affordable new computer... Or should I say, my roommate did(?) And, well, I believe I found it (they found it). So, in 1 week... I should have my brand new computer which can do good stuff.
Of course, I have to make a bit of a loan. I kinda did spend all my money on this computer. But, this was about $220 when everything was bought and the new one is supposed to be just shy of $400.

Based on a suggestion by the Great Mr. Steve Pulaski Sarcasm? Anyway, glad you found one that suites you. Hope to see some more elaborate, witty reviews on here soon enough. Will this be yours personally, or will you need to share it?

Fuck no (on all accounts), this is going in my personal bedroom (which I haven't shared since 2004 when a friend of mine literally used to get in bed with me after I fell asleep, kinda like a cat). Of course, I'm in my bedroom right now so... The roommate who helped me find the new computer is going to try to help me sell this old one. No idea how that's going to work out. And thanks, I can't wait to write them again. Maybe even redo a few. Finally, for the first time, there'll be no pressure to rush through them.

I know how it is to get bugged when you're trying to write something. You know the name/model of your computer off hand? My AC: Michael Jackson died three years ago today, along with Farrah Fawcett, and, oh yeah, it's my birthday.

Have a great one, Steve.
And, no, not really. Not yet at least.

It's about 57 degrees outside.
Naturally, I think that's wonderful.
