I want to know if anyone on this forum has heard of a rapper by the name of "Dolla". He is one of my favorite rappers and I've loved pretty much everything he's come out with. My favorite song he made was Who the Fuck is That which, I believe, was his most popular song before his death in May 2009. His new mixtape The Miseducation of Dolla will hopefully be reviewed by me soon and I hope you guys Youtube him and listen to some of his songs. He's definitely a rapper with heart.

I've never heard of him, but I'm not that into the "rap scene" either. How did you hear of him?

I've never heard of him, but I'm not that into the "rap scene" either. How did you hear of him? Long and funny story, I used to be REALLY into rap. Like obsessed. That was entirely my "cool" phase in seventh grade. I was looking for T-Pain songs and I found he did a feature on a song called Who the Fuck is That with Dolla as the lead. I looked it up on Youtube and instantly fell in love with it. It wasn't on iTunes for months and I got a remixed version by DJ Nasty that just had this chorus and loopy beat. I listened to it day in and day out and eventually iTunes got the actual song. I was now following him closely, hoping every day for a new song and I didn't find out he died until like six months after it happened and couldn't believe it. iTunes finally released the mixtape, but it's all unfinished work I believe (same thing with MJ's new tracks). Originally, the album A Dolla and a Dream was to be released in Summer 2008 because in the song Who the Fuck is That? he says "album comin' soon bitch get ready for the summa!" It was never released, but on the day he was shot he flew into California to record the rest of the album and then he was killed. Only four songs were confirmed tracks on the album; Who the Fuck is That?, I'm Fucked Up (which isn't that great), Make a Toast (great), and Loudmouf (which is alright).
