Well, now I know how you feel because I know nothing of the albums you chose. Are you trying to say you've never heard any of the songs from The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Or did I read that wrong?

Here's an old reply I made (back in March or the first week of April) and never posted: This thread is hard because there has really been no album where I've liked every song. I've liked a bit more than half, but not everything. I'll try and have some sort of no order list soon. I know what you mean. But, still, I think you can set that aside for this project. Just pick the ones that overall have really defined your life / etc(.), so far. The ones that have the most songs you like on average. This is also going to be hard for people your age and in your generation, Steve, because you haven't been through enough yet. Lived long enough. I'd say I've been ready for a thread like this ever since leaving high school. But also, there's the whole life-on-the-internet thing that wings your generation. You guys are expected to be so technically on-the-ball. You have to give yourself time offline to completely sink into something like music or an album- because even if you don't like every song, you'll notice a mood or something that holds an entire album together.

The Man Who Sold the World10. Aladdin SaneThis list was literally tearing me apart inside. Seriously, Bowie is the greatest single musician of all time. I will accept no arguments to the contrary.

Are you trying to say you've never heard any of the songs from The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Or did I read that wrong? I've never seen it. *Braces for impact* That's how I feel when I see you posted in one of my reviews. But it's all right you haven't seen it. I'm sure we're right around the same age, and I just saw it for the first time last year. It is on Netflix: Watch Instant, so I do expect you to see it within the next year or two, but I'm sure you have other things to get to beforehand. Bottom line, make time for it...when you can. But as for David Bowie, I haven't exposed myself to a lot of him. But I do love Rebel Rebel. Here's just a bullshit list that I concocted. Top favorite Hank III albums. 1. Straight to Hell2. Damn Right, Rebel Proud3. Three Hanks: Men With Broken Hearts4. Risin' Outlaw5. Hillbilly Joker6. Rebel Within'7. Lovesick, Broke, and Driftin'

I certainly want to watch the Picture Show. I very much enjoy odd cult films and the Picture Show seems to be right up that alley. And yes we are about the same age. Born '95 in April.

I've liked the movie ever since my best friend, her sister and all her cool friends watched it one day. They were terrible at actually finishing a movie once they started it but I saw it from the beginning to maybe 3 minutes after Eddie's death scene and I remember thinking: that was AWESOME! So, I've thought the movie was pretty damn cool from childhood to adulthood. Nothing's changed for me after 15 years. Hawk is weird, we haven't yet figured out what his problem is yet. There seems to be a strong cult-o-phobia present in his makeup. He doesn't realize how blandly mainstream most of his tastes are. Truth about the RHPS though... the songs really are quite ripping classic rock rather than prancy ultra-gay showtunes like a person might expect. I believe the writer-creator of the show is straight so... there you have it. But it's the lyrics and the vocalists that really set it alight and shoot it into the stratosphere.

I think Hawk just doesn't like it because of its obscure nature. I'm not sure the subject of Transvestites sit right with him. I saw it on Netflix: Watch Instant with my friend Brian talking to the screen throughout the film like a midnight showing. It was fun. The soundtrack is amazing. And so is Tim Curry, the God of cult films.
