I don't have high hopes, it falls into a lot of "remake-traps" (dollar-store soundtrack, unnecessary color tinting, stuff thrown in just to please fans, unconvincing actors...)

Admittedly not as bad as I would have thought at all; I can actually see some competant direction (Though nothing special) and tense moments. Plus I do think Jackie can pull the role off, though in a very-different-but-equally-sleazy way

Jackie I think will do okay. But RE is the only Freddy. Plus that mask Freddy wears is just not scary. People will likely find him more comical.

I heard this rumor that Heather Langenkap is being Nancy's Mother in it(it's a rumor!)...

First I don't think they'd have the fan-spirit to arrange that, second I don't think Heather herself would want to come back to the series, third it's sort of trying to pander to the fans anyhow... ...Fourth, Nancy is an icon to the series, and casting the classic actress as her alcoholic bitch mom would more likely make fans want to spit in the producers' faces  |
