My friend who wrote the film adaption of Atlas Shrugged has put my name "Steve Pulaski" in the end credits. What a beast! His name is Brian Patrick O'Toole (oblivion on the site) and he was a long time friend of my mom from years back. Very excited to see the film.

Too bad Atlas Shrugged is fucking terrible. Never read the book so can't really debate with you. Sounds interesting enough. Just one serious question; if something isn't American History X or Fight Club that you have to read in school do you automatically hate it? Not being a smartass, I'm serious. And Jib, it's probably a "thank you" section or whatever.

Oh, I was talking about the movie, not the book. I enjoy the book. Also, American History X isn't a book. And I like a ton of other books besides Fight Club. Perhaps if you read some of my posts you might realize that. I just hate most of the books they give us in school. Not inherently. It's not that I don't like reading, I don't like reading bad books. To Kill A Mockingbird and Huck Finn are bad books. Atlas Shrugged the movie is another story. It's completely awful. Not something to be proud you have your name on sadly.

You could argue that Atlas Shrugged is somewhat outdated however. Huck Finn is also practically unreadable. It also uses "nigger" a lot, which many may find offensive. There is a censored version out there, but that's just dumb. Read the book the way it was intended, or don't read it at all.

Still, I'm very interested. I love the sound of the plot.

Still, I'm very interested. I love the sound of the plot. The book and to a certain extent the movie are more about Rand's philosophy (entitled Objectivism).

I'm aware. The story just sounds very interesting since it's said to be "coming true."
