My new movie watching event "The Summer Diaries" takes effect on June 6, 2011 when I return home from my last day of school at 11:30am. I will watch an undisclosed amount of films every day. Some days one, some days three, some days none, who knows? The end date will be about August 23 or so. Because this event will be massive I want to make a guide right now like I did with "The August Rush" and "Spring Break Massacre."
NOTE I:[/u] I usually go on vacation this time of year, but due to financial problems and other issues, vacations during my birthday week will not happen. I will be in Illinois on June 25, the first birthday I've spent in my home-state in two years.
NOTE II:[/u] This list is subject to change. I try not to plan ahead, for fear of that, but sometimes I try to plan out a schedule for the future in an act of excitement.
NOTE III:[/u] For each the day, the movies are listed in the order they were watched.
NOTE IV:[/u] Album, Television, and Video Game Reviews will also be incorporated in "The Summer Diaries."
NOTE V:[/u] I WILL be going on vacation from July 5, 2011 - July 7, 2011. During this time, Jib will be in charge of the forum, and will take action to anything necessary. I will also be out of town from July 9, 2011 - July 11, 2011 meaning I doubt anything will be watched during that period, unless I get lucky.
NOTE VI:[/u] I've decided to schedule my "Nightmare on My Street" movie watching week from August 7 - August 13. It's tentative, but it will happen this summer.
NOTE VII:[/u] Multiple watches of a film will only count for the month grade the first time they were watched. Not multiple times.
NOTE VIII:[/u] As of August 4, 2011, the "Nightmare on My Street" movie watching event is cancelled. I thought of a better plan of when I'd watch the series, and now isn't the time. This month will be congested because of other films that NEED to be watched, and the fact I've started watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. Sorry for the unexpected delay.
*[/u] Notes that I didn't watch the movie on said date, but I had enough knowledge of it to write a full length review. The film will not count towards the month grade, or the summer grade, due to the fact it wasn't really watched.

June Summary:
June was easily the best month for "The Summer Diaries." No missed days, no sudden abrupt changes in schedule, just smooth sailing. I remember feeling so refreshed getting out of school on June 6, and then remembered, "oh yeah, I have an event to attend to." I popped in No Strings Attached that night, and so on followed a strand of just so-so movies before I hit a home-run with Super 8 on June 11. Even on my birthday, I had a party, but found something to watch quickly on Netflix: Watch Instant. All in all, June was a perfect month.
July Summary:
July 2011 was a hell month. People have hell days, hell weeks, hell moments, but I had a hell month. It seemed everything that could've went wrong in July did. I had a lukewarm vacation in Wisconsin Dells. It was fine up until the final day when an un-clarified misunderstanding prevented two nights of swimming, and rude management went on to soil a vacation. It was fine in some parts, but all in all it wasn't great or very memorable. Then, we had a power outage that lasted forty-one hours. I was so miserable those days, I threatened to lose my sanity which caused major stress among parents. The house wasn't the only thing hot. I can tell you when the power did come back on we had an air condition appreciation day. Then the rest of July went on to be decent, with no missed days after July 12.
August Summary:
Every year, August comes equipped with a "gotta-go-back-to-school" groggy feeling. It sucks. And I'm writing this on my last day of summer vacation too. I planned to watch The Last Day of Summer on my last day of summer, but decided to forgo that plan to write what I'm writing now. I have school in the morning, and I'm more than nervous about it. But as far as the month went, I only missed two days, got to guest star on a radio station for my school, caught up with an old friend, and watched some great films in the theater (Final Destination 5 and The Help). To conclude August, it wasn't so bad despite the sick feeling of school right around the bend.

Overall Rating: ★★½[/center]
Overall, I was very pleased with the turnout for "The Summer Diaries." I watched a plethora of films, some I never thought I'd see, gave new things a try, gave films I've been putting off a play, gave things I knew would be bad a try, and gave random films a try. It was a good summer. A two and a half star turnout doesn't mean I didn't have fun doing, it's just the average film rating combined together.
I also plan "The Summer Diaries Part II" to take place during Summer 2012. I'm ready to make memories, have more fun, and watch a lot more films. I'm so excited for next summer I wish I could skip school and go right to it. But, I must carry on because I know there will be peace when I'm done.
Thanks for the support and the fun of doing this movie watching event,
Steve Pulaski.
