My mom asked me what would I want for my birthday; an iPad 2 or a $100 Dvd shopping spree at this great used store where every regular Dvd is $5. Which would you have taken? I took the shopping spree.

You mad? Ipad 2, no question. Value proposition is absurd. Have $100 worth of DVD's, or a device worth $400-$500.

I would say go with the DVD shopping spree. It never hurts to expand your DVD/Blu-Ray collection with some good movies. Not only is that what I would do in your situation, but at my job there is a "Sizzlin' Summer Giveaway" going on where I have a chance to win one of 35 (34 now) Ipad 2's.

I know many people who still use an iPad 1.
