As much as I dislike the current Republican stances on many issues, I really want to live in an America where Ron Paul is president. He's got better buzz than any other candidates, but the incumbent favor is absurd. I like Ron Paul. A lot. He's smart, older, and I believe he could make a true America out of this country. The problem - he's too old. Just like McCain. Not to mention, even though Obama has proven to just sink this country lower and lower there will still be stupid people who vote for him.

McCain is actually 2 years younger than Ron. The thing were McCain really screwed up was picking a barely functional retard as a VP, where Obama actually made a good choice with Biden. I'm really doubting whether or not Ron Paul stands a chance, considering the insane advantage incumbents get. If Bush can get elected twice, anyone can. Ron has made the most convincing arguments for pro-life and 2nd Amendment preservation I have ever seen though. I think the age might work towards his advantage though. Obama had two major advantages last election: He didn't choose Palin (CANNOT stress this enough) and everyone hated Republicans after Bush. Obama fucking crushed McCain in the 08 election. There's also a lot of regional differences considering the size of the US. I see someone like Michele Bachmann and say "Wow, this woman is the spawn of Satan." but that's not a unifying opinion. If by some unholy, satanic occurrence Bachmann beats Paul for Republican nominee, Obama all the way for me. I'd rather elect a cantaloupe president.
