Well, this week is sure to be shit. Power went out today and is likely not to be repaired for SEVERAL days according to crappy ComEd. Anyway, I'll try to watch as much as I possibly can, but the problem is is that my portable Dvd Player only has two out of three bars, and my portable Blu-Ray player doesn't have any battery life information. I'll do the best I can. It's hard, and frustrating.
Wish me luck, it's ninety in Chitown and the house is like seventy-six.
Thanks, Steve.

Outages are the worse. There was one 2 years ago (or maybe last year I can't remember). It was an amazing comedy of errors.
Backup generator in my brothers Jeep. Jeep has keys locked on the inside. A good 2 hours was spent trying to break in the car. Get the generator. It's about a foot long. I booted up my desktop, but couldn't access the internet. Watched Ferris Bueller instead. In the dark on my computer screen. The generator started making some alarming noises. Apparently, it's almost drained. I go to bed at the earliest possible time. Before that, I'm playing some crappy Sonic game on my GBA.
Get all prepped in bed, and perhaps for the only time in my life, I'm hoping for school the next day. I have literally nothing to do at the house. Then, POWER. Hallelujah! Get news from Dad, no school next day! Double Hallelujah! Stay up late that night. Wake up, power is out again.
You're lucky that you at least have a DVD and Blu ray player.

Jesus Christ sounds like a joke. Well, the first day I returned from my grandparents to find now power. Sleeping was awful. The next day I spent most of it at my dad's work and by Mike's house. I got home (eighty-two degrees in my house) watched some AVGN on my phone, and went outside and talked with the neighbors. My neighbor (not the one I talked with) loaned both of us his backup generator for my neighbor's medicine and for our freezer (we have a TON of food we could've lost if that didn't happen.) We got to bed around 10:30pm.
I got up at 1:09am and looked at the clock by habit. It does that stupid shit when it isn't programmed that "--:--" so I'm like, wait a minute. Then I look at my router and it's blinking like crazy. I run upstairs, power's on! I got a soda then went back to bed. We all wake up forty five minutes later, unplug the generator, turn the air on, and go back to bed. What a week and it's not even Thursday.
Just happy to finally see my true loves again - my computer and my movies.
