I was debating since early September about what I would do to celebrate this year's Halloween. And I think I finally found something I'll do - ten horror films over the course of October - with one being watched on Halloween (most likely The Rocky Horror Picture Show if FMC is doing the twenty-four hour marathon like they did last year). When will these ten films be watched? Not sure, but they will span over the course of this month. Probably weekends, and some over the weekdays depending on Homework.
*NOTE:[/u] Unfortunately, I will not be taking suggestions for films to watch. Due to the supply I have that's been sitting in the "to watch" pile for so long I really need to scavenge through some of those. I will also get a few horror flicks from Netflix, and might DVR one as well. It all depends.
The "Ten Films of Halloween" Calendar:
October 12: Anaconda (3 stars).
October 22: Paranormal Activity 3 (1.5 stars).
October 23: When a Stranger Calls (2.5 stars).
October 25: Tremors (3.5 stars).
October 26: Broken Lizard's Club Dread (3 stars).
October 27: Open Water (3 stars).
October 28: Slither (2.5 stars).
October 29: Hatchet (3 stars).
October 30: Hatchet II (2 stars).
October 31: Halloween (4 stars).
Overall Event Rating: ★★★
Final Thoughts: "The Ten Films of Halloween" movie watching event was a success, overall. As you can see, after Anaconda, I took a ten day hiatus. Then when it came to near the final week of Halloween it was a true wake up call. I had to continue on with my journey. I didn't watch everything I wanted to, but I watched quite a few dust collectors (Anaconda, Hatchet II, and Slither), and I did pop in some ones that demanded a revisit (Broken Lizard's Club Dread, Hatchet, and When a Stranger Calls). I'm satisfied with the turnout, but hope to plan something bigger for Halloween 2012. After all - it may be our last .
