Over christmas i started watching Prison Break, there is 4 seasons and i just finished season 4 the other day. I must say this was one of the best TV series i have ever seen. It is a drama/thriller type series which has a serialized plot which continues throughout all 4 seasons, so its almost like watch a really long movie. So many twists and turns that keep you wanting to watch. The plot, the characters and the whole idea of this show is really great and definately worth checking out even if you just watch the pilot episode to see what its like. If anyone has netflix i cannot highly recommend this enough. Or i even saw each season is going for around $15 each if you prefer to own them.
If you have seen Prison Break before, let me know what you thought of it. Heres a quick overview of the plot from wiki. The first season follows the rescue of Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), who is accused of murdering Terrence Steadman (John Billingsley), the brother of Vice President of the United States Caroline Reynolds (Patricia Wettig). Lincoln is sentenced to death and is incarcerated in Fox River State Penitentiary where he awaits his execution. Lincoln's brother, brilliant structural engineer Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), is convinced of Lincoln's innocence and formulates an escape plan.

I don't really care for too much network TV. Especially when it's a show like this that sounds interesting, but is probably greatly limited because of its network. If it was on HBO, yes, maybe I'd check it out. But I get turned off if a creative show (IE: Harper's Island) goes on network TV. I just think "oh how the limitations are vast."

Thats the surprising part. Even though this was on FOX, it is the closest thing to an HBO program that i can think of.
I know it restricts things like violence and profanity but even without these things, it makes things like the plot and the characters stand out even more than they would and show just how strong they are.
It obviously could have been more than what it was if it didnt have as many rules to follow. But a show this creative finds ways around these rules... trust me.

Might check it out, but I ignore 24, CSI, and Prison Break not only for limitations, but because of time constraints. I watch a lot of movies, news to you I'm sure, and for that I can't keep up to date with TV. I have the DVR, but do I want to watch something like Prison Break when I'm trying to wind down and get ready for bed? I usually watch The Berenstain Bears, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, Pawn Stars, or Shark Tank. Like I said, it's up in the air. But my motto for network TV has been the same for years; if it ain't Survivor, it ain't worth my time.
