Just been informed that SOPA/PIPA are indefinitely postponed. Congress now knows they can't expect us to remain content when they are trying to temper with something they clearly have no knowledge of. We've succeeded. For now at least.

Did you hear about how the FBI shut down the file-sharing site. I don't think we're safe for now. Hell, we won't be safe until we drastically reduce both the power and size of our government.

We're at least safe from these unfair, biased, broadly-worded bills for a little while.

SOPA makes no sense, here's my analogy: If someone is doing pot in an apartment, is it the landlord's fault because he was unaware? And should the apartment building be shut down and the landlord placed accountable just because he failed to see one person breaking the law? No, right.
So then why should a proprietor of a website be forced to shut down.

That's the largest flaw with SOPA. It's making corporations liable for user-generated content, not the person who is doing the harm by stealing.

Gingrich just won the SC primary. He's for SOPA.

Gingrich just won the SC primary. He's for SOPA. No he's not. Gingrich, Paul Romney, and Santorum all oppose it.
