I swear, I honestly cannot see him turning a profit at the box office, so hopefully he will never be coming to theaters.

He probably has even less of a fanbase there than over here.

Well then, I'll be damned if he ever gets a theatrical movie here in the States.

Almost any movie about war.
What's the point?

Almost any movie about war. What's the point? I'm not big on war films either, but doesn't mean I write them off immediately, making the generalization they're all pointless. If you get time, but you probably won't see it, I recommend The Boys in Company C. Excellent war film. Darker and a lot more brutal and surreal than Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket. That one wasn't bad, but I felt I liked it more out of obligation than true subjectivity.

Doubt it could beat Company C, though.

Well, I just added Tank Girl to my list.
Also, I would like to mention that even though Steve and I will NEVER see Cannibal Holocaust, one has to admit that the theme music to the movie is quite lovely:

Yes, the film itself is very disturbing and offensive, but don't you at least like the song?

Well, I added the movie Gummo to that list, as well as taken Tank Girl off of the list. I might give it a chance after all, but for the most part I tend to write off just about anything that the NC has reviewed. Others, I would like to see anyway if I had not seen them already.
But Gummo, I will NEVER watch because of the various cat-killings portrayed in the film. Now if the movie were about the fifth Marx brother, Gummo Marx, I would consider it. But the fact that it is about a redneck town in the aftermath of a tornado, with the youths engaging in nihilistic and destructive behavior (such as harming cats), you can bet I will avoid this film at all costs.
