Well I may be late on this since this certain pay per view event happened near the end of January but I was unable to see it until now. Now I know not everyone follows wrestling but I thought that this needs to be addressed because if there is ever more of a portent for the end of the fucking world it is this years Royal Rumble. The Mayan calendar is correct folks, it pretty much says for 2012 "And ye then Sheamus deposited Chris Jericho to the outside of the ring and marked the death of professional wrestling. So spake Triple H." I mean wrap your mind around it for a second. Sheamus. FUCKING SHEAMUS won the RR. He comes out to library silences on Raw and Smackdown and that is his target audience guys. This guy gets no reaction at all. COMATOSE reaction. But yet he won the royal rumble, and I'm sure the brain dead soap opera writers behind the show are saying to themselves "Well we still got 2 months. We can make him a star." You tried for the last 2 years to make this jabrony a star and he still gets no reaction!
Not only that but there was no Undertaker, no Kane, no Goldust, no Stone Cold and even though Stone Cold doesn't wrestle too much anymore at least he makes a surprise appearance or something. The main purpose of the Royal Rumble is to set the stage for your Wrestlemania. The Rock and John Cena are supposed to go against each other at Wrestlemania this year, Cena wasn't in the RR and The Rock didn't even show up! The two people headlining the main event were not on the show at all! This is the road to Wrestlemania folks and Wrestlemania wasn't even featured here. If that is a sign of things to come feel free to discuss your thoughts below, wrestling fan or no, but seriously lock up your children because 2012 is coming and John Laurinaitis is the anti christ.

I haven't followed wrestling for well over a decade, for I think it is stupid now. You may call this year's Royal Rumble a sign of the apocalypse, whereas I deem the popularity of professional wrestling in general a sign of the Idiocracy.

Never watched wrestling. Never cared for it, or found any appeal in it. My grandmother watches UFC and sometimes tells me about it.

Finally someone else who watches wrestling! lol.
This was easily the worst royal rumble i have seen in years, barely any special appearances other than Road Dogg (which was AWESOME) and Jim Duggan ( So what ). But i was hoping for Goldust, and maybe a huge surprise like a Goldberg, or Lesnar or some big name to return.. And having Big Show come in at number 30, was so counter productive, it added nothing to the match whatsoever. Also i like the fact Sheamus won because everyone thought for sure it would be Jericho. Its nice to see him get a push going towards mania. But at the end of the day this rumble was very forgettable..
Btw, Cant wait for CENA VS ROCK!

Hes coming back for Wrestlemania for one event, he has been working part-time with the WWE for the last year, making an appearance here and there. But has been doing movies at the same time, and will continue to focus on movies.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan got a bigger pop than Cena let alone Shaemus! The only Irish quality of this mans personality is that he has the carisma of a sack of potatoes. Hornswoggle would have been more convincing then Sheamus. And let's not forget at the end of the rumble he had his choice of belts to pick. Well obviously he is going to go for the Smackdown title which was retained by Daniel Bryan earlier that night. So you got Sheamus who has no charisma and he is going to go up against Daniel Bryan who has the charisma of an expired sack of beats. It's going to be such a shitty match I can't even fathom it. So far for Wrestlemania 28 we got Rock v Cena and black panties crew cut vs black panties crew cut.

the smackdown world heavyweight title match is always a write off come wrestlemania.. They say the winner of the rumble will headline mania.. that match will most likely be the first match again just like it was last year.
Smackdown has nothing going for them right now when it comes to the title picture. If Randy Orton never got hurt, he would have went to mania to face Barrett for the title. His injury ruined that therefore causing WWE to throw Sheamus in to picture. Mark Henry Injured, Orton Injured, and now Big show injured. They dont have much choice, and seeing as how there is no decent faces on smackdown, this is a chance for Sheamus to establish himself as a main eventer.

Well at least they can TRY to get a different Smackdown guy to represent other than this fucking awkward silence in a pair of trunks! Have you seen his fighting during the Royal Rumble? He picked up 1 guy the entire match and the rest was punch kick punch kick. But the worst part is that you knew that Sheamus was going to win the moment Chris Jericho started to sell his moves seriously because if there any logic or justice whatsoever he would have brushed this jabrony aside like a dust bunny. The match that Sheamus is going to be in is curtain jerker material and that is exactly what they are going to do they are going to curtain jerk the world title like they did last year.
On an offhand the one thing that I just couldn't stop laughing at during the whole rumble was when Miz and A-ry were fighting each other. Watching Miz and A-ry fight was like watching someone fight their own fucking shadow.
