Saw this on Inside Edition today. After surgery, kid is a bit loopy and "dizzaaaaay" from the anesthesia. Must see.

How does that "Haaaate" meme go again? Not sure what you mean, NP, but try and leave your cynicism at the door.

Kids that are taught to act and talk like punks are not worth the benefit of my doubt. It's pretentious, it's reflective of the worst aspects of hipster culture, he's expecting that he will be liked because of something that actually makes him look idiotic, and his parents might very well deserve a hanging. In short: it's promoting shallow, superficial behavior and an extreme spit-in-the-face of being yourself. A value I think you can tell I'm very passionate about. And: How does that "Haaaate" meme go again? Not sure what you mean, NP The routine Kyle "Oancitizen" Kallgren is doing here originated from... somewhere else (I think). I was hoping since you're hipper to things on the internet- you might know. I still barely know what a meme is. (I do know it's a word we don't need, very much like "BLOG" - it's still exactly the same as these message board posts only you get to arrange photophraphs more skillfully.)

He's on anesthesia for Christ's sake. He's not trying to be funny. He probably doesn't even remember doing it.

Steve, that's the way he talks whether he's on anesthesia or not.

Steve, that's the way he talks whether he's on anesthesia or not. Still have no idea what you're talking about. I don't believe the intention of the video was to be malicious or to promote the so-called "punk" behavior, rather than to just be mildly entertaining and humorous. The kid isn't doing anything wrong. He's just dizzy from the medicine. Nobody was egging him on to talk that way or even say anything else. He just kept going. It's cute and harmless. Not as problematic and harmful as you're making it out to be.

Still have no idea what you're talking about. This video pisses me off. Everything I'm saying is entirely relative to that fact. So, I'm not saying he's harming anything- don't get me wrong. If anything, I'm saying: THIS is why almost everything sucks right now. This kid is behaving in an extraordinarily unnatural, pretentious manner whether his parents egged him on or he learned to act this way by just observing them not being themselves. This kid is speaking in an accent he did not naturally have before he decided he would fit in better if he spoke this way. I'm assuming you're acquainted with The Jersey Shore. You know how that sucks and is soulless and brainkillingly idiotic? Why would you encourage the same sort of phoniness in children?

He is loopy after the operation. He's not trying to be funny. He genuinely is in his own little world.

Steve, Anesthesia does not turn you into a completely different person. He did not accidentally put on this accent. The accent is something he clearly does in his daily life or an act he puts on for others for much of the reason(s) I've already indicated.
