In case you haven't heard, there is this new film out that examines the mysterious history behind Barack H. Obama and the question "if Obama gets reelected, where will our country be in 2016?" As much as I want to see this movie, I cannot help shake the feeling that it is conservative propaganda. For one thing, the film's producer, Gerald R. Molen, believes that Obama must not be reelected; that voting for a third party candidate or not voting at all is a vote for Obama. He believes that in order to oust Obama from office, our country must unite behind Mitt Romney. So it's obvious made for conservatives, who have given this film nothing but praise. Still, the movie answers questions about Obama that people have been too afraid to address. I have to give the filmmakers behind this movie credit for that. Hence, why I hope to see this movie soon, which will be coming to my area next week. Trailer: 2016themovie.com/media/

For one thing, the film's producer, Gerald R. Molen, believes that Obama must not be reelected; that voting for a third party candidate or not voting at all is a vote for Obama. If enough people do vote for a 3rd party candidate, he's wrong. Clearly, he's terrified that the majority of Americans want to vote for Obama anyway and that it will be too hard to rig the election so the Republican wins like in 2000 and '04. Personally... I don't think I care anymore. After all the stuff I've read about global warming and the 75 nations were gay people are being sentenced to death or life imprisonment just for loving each other or being out... this world might as well just legalize all drugs and then we can kill ourselves from overdoses. I used to be a person who felt like fighting but my energy, my passion, my strength, and will to live is being sucked out of me. We got gay men proudly eating at Chik-Fil-A, women's reproductive rights have taken major blows, energy companies shutting down their environmental engineering operations, Obama himself claiming we need to mine for more fossil fuels as the planet heats up by entire degrees celcius (anyone been reading up on Australia the past year? It's some fucking HORRIFYING shit), yet because conservatives still don't want to aknowledge the crisis of global warming- Obama is being blamed for the one thing he's not responsible for: their ravaging of the national/federal budget. The oceans are filling with acid, the air is holding too much oxygen, brush fires and wildfires are destroying THOUSANDS of homes and families, and America is set to be hit by increasing food bills, a devastating heatwave in the midwest, and eventually massive flooding. It may take a few years, but soon this country will literally become Hell On Earth. And there'll be nowhere to go- because it's not going to be much anywhere else. And of course, corporations and politicians will be to blame for the biblical-sized living-nightmares in climate change and natural disasters but conservatives and holy-rollers will blame the gays as they did after 9/11 and the earthquake in Haiti.

I wouldn't mind seeing this film, either. Heard about it a few months back and feel rather than boasting conservative ideology, it's simply a "what if?" documentary. But aren't most of them like that any way. Also, NP, that commentary was riveting. Truly, I've lost the will to fight with people about this nation's state as well. If Obama is reelected, we lose big. If Romney is reelected, we lose big. We can't win here. Not to mention, no matter who gets reelected, things are not likely to get better.
And coming from someone who lives in the midwest, it has been nothing but an oppressive summer. Crops dying, animal shortage apparently, etc. Can't wait to see the food prices.

Jib, Steve Check you personal messages. Like a phoenix, I have risen from my ashes and have been reborn. For I was once a member of this forum. One who promised to return. I shall not state who I am, but think deeply and you will find the truth. Now let me mark my maiden post by commenting on politics. Frankly, all the GOP neocons should have gotten a wake up call from three events this summer. Climate Change: The Drought. Could there be anymore proof that we need environmentally friendly policies? Gun Control: The Aurora Massacre. Yeah, just why is it legal to own a military grade assault weapon but not a king sized candy bar (blame liberals for the latter)? Hatred and Bigotry: the Sikh Temple Massacre. What more could have been done to expose the intolerance and hatred promoted by Michelle Bachmann and other Tea cons? PS. In case you haven't guessed, I'm... Just kidding, of course you know who I am. There's just no need for you or I to mention it. I'm lost...
