Mine is Full Metal Jacket. Saving Private Ryan was close due to its graphic, stark depiction of WWII battles, but Full Metal Jacket does a better job of geting in to the psychology of war. It's also very darkly funny. Apocalypse Now is another favorite of mine, but it's not enough of a war film to be considered my favorite. It's more of a head trip than a war film.
