I thought about this thread for a while (at least since I was back at Wis Dells in the pool, thinking about the movies instead of talking to a group of people). I refuse to watch Cannibal Holocaust. I dont want to watch snuff, especially of animal killings. I hate that, I hate when people kill cats/dogs/whatever for no good reason. Your thoughts?

It's moot for me to say the reason I'm avoiding Cannibal Holocaust is just because of the animal killings because I watched the rip-off, Make Them Die Slowly (aka- Cannibal Ferox) and all but 1 of the animals killed in that movie were real (the crew stopped one of the death scenes because they thought the animal being killed was too cute, so they let that one live). That's one I will not be reviewing (at least, I don't think I will be) for the BoH. Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom is an obvious must-miss. I've been dreading Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price, An Inconvenient Truth, and Sicko, so I've skipped them on multiple occasions. However, I will be watching The End of America before October and I suggest everyone else do as well (it's still on Netflix: Instant). Along the lines of the first two mentioned shock movies, I'm in the-know at cult horror message boards. And so, I've heard talk about several movies I don't think I'll ever see. Such as Men Behind the Sun, August Underground, the Guinea Pig series, In a Glass Cage, Aftermath, and Nekromantik (though the trailer I saw almost a decade ago thanks to the defunct CreepyClips was really beautiful and haunting in a sweet, ugly but poetic way). Aside from that, I generally avoid 99% of all new movies because they are utterly brainless. It won't be long before I'm surfing the Foreign Film Wave like all the other brainy snobs like me.

You may not believe this, but we were forced to watch An Inconvient Truth in fourth grade. I hated it and didnt believe a word while everyone was crying and bawling during the film. I have yet to watch Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price and Salo to my understanding (unless Im thinking of something else) is hard to find and as a white ring on the disc making it valuable. On Amazon theres copy with that ring for about $1000.

I refused to watch the movie Powder because the writer of the book was a convicted child molester. I know I'm huge Freddy Krueger fan but thats fantasy and he won't get you but child predators are real thats why I support Megans Law and other laws to protect innocent children so they can grow up safe and sound!

I also make it a habit to skip movies (if I can avoid them) directed by Michael Bay, Alexandre Aja, and Christopher Nolan, and starring: Will Smith, Owen Wilson, Zac Efron, Denzel Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Pressly, Carmen Electra, Jenna Jameson, Eliza Dushku, Hilary and Hailey Duff, Nicolas Cage, Monica Keena, Lacey Chabert, Jackie Chan, Brendan Fraser, Keira Knightley, Ben Affleck...

I follower her on Twitter. I think shes great, and yes, I know she used to do porn. I should know . But as far as the rest go, I can agree with most. Nic Cage and Michael Bay are two assholes. Nicholas Cage is BEYOND overrated, and Michael Bay ruins everything he touches. Sadly, he's shooting a certain SEQUEL in a certain HOME of mine; Chicago. So the prick (at least for this weekend) isnt too far from me which is real sad.

I was opposed to watching A Clockwork Orange for the longest time, but then I mustered up the courage to sit through it, and boy am I glad. One of the greatest, most shocking and disturbing films ever

How does being shocking and disturbing equal great?
And by the way, I have no doubt that Clockwork and most of Kubrick's stuff is brilliant. But I could barely make it through that film the one time I tried 5 years ago. I was too bored.

I never said that it's great because it's shocking and disturbing.
