That's just the top 20, I'm too lazy to add more. So, what do you guys think? What movies should or shouldn't be on?
Overall, I like the list. Several of my all time favorite movies are in the top 20. I'll write more in depth later, I gotta go some place.

I'm glad that Star Wars is up there but I'm surpised not see that Rocky or First Blood is up there because I read the book First Blood it differs from the movie but another one I don't see is The Wizard of Oz and that was one of the first movies in color but I'm also that the Dark Knight is up there and I`m really surprised that Citizen Kane is not in top 20! Other than that I'm wondering That is Orsen Welles is getting underated because he was a good Director! All I have to say this is Intresting!

Well... what do you think? Clearly, I think you can a see a major flaw in its' design: They're almost all guys' movies. All movies men tend to like better than women. Yet, it's always said that there are more women in the world. According to many sources, it's been said that the majority of people on the internet voting on things like that are straight white men. So, it stands to reason- doesn't it? That that list most reflects white men's overall opinion and not the whole of people.

Definitely agree with you NP. The list was probably majorly voted on by 20-30 year old men, which is why movies like Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight, ect rank so highly.

Exact same thing crossed my mind. They're all guy movies. They're all the typical ones too; Star Wars, The Godfather, Schindler's List, The Shawshank Redemption. Nothings wrong with those movies by any means, but they're just the typical movies that top anyone's list. There's nothing special about them. How many times have I seen the fucking Dark Knight on a favorite list? It gets redundant.

Of course, now that I've blown the whistle... Anyone know any women's movies that belong in the high positions? I definitely see a sad lack of important horror films. It's mostly action - drama - sci fi.

I think of NP when people make fun of my shit. I just state the reasoning why I believe its in my favorites. As for women movies, I'm not sure. I've known to appreciate "chick flicks", but none I think would qualify for the 250. A lot of my movies wouldn't fit on the top of the list anyhow. Though I do believe that Joy Ride is the best Horror film of the 2000-2009 decade.

Usually, these alleged "chick flicks" are made by male directors. Two of the best were made by women - Valley Girl (Martha Coolidge) and Clueless (Amy Heckerling). Then, you've got your kinda classy chick-type films. Look for British stars like Maggie Smith, Emma Thompson, or Joan Plowright, based on books by Jane Austen (which I've never read). I've never watched those but I imagine they rate pretty highly on IMDb. But, then there are the films starring women made by men that are very smart- Heathers, Freeway, Ghost World, Welcome to the Dollhouse. And who can forget the guys' movie favorites directed by women- especially American Psycho and Wayne's World.

Black Sheep (directed by Penelope Spheeris same as Wayne's World) is another very cool guy flick that comes to mind. Clueless though is definitely an amazing girl movie.

After Tommy Boy, I'm in no rush to watch Black Sheep. Both I consider hilarious comedies. Sure their farce examples with some dull jokes, but I love Chris Farley.

I consider Tommy Boy one of the worst 90's comedies I've ever seen. The only thing that was funny in the whole thing was that woman in the boardroom obsessed with hussies or whatever she said. Hookers, tramps, sluts, whores... whatever. It's a godawful piece of trash. But yes, some people laughed at it. So good for that, but it was a terrible movie.

Not even Halloween is on the list. I have a unique taste people mock and ridicule. I find it funny that you complain about people bashing your favorite movies, when you called my favorite films overrated and cliche. You complained about my movies being too "mainstream." Hypocritical if you ask me. I am in no way trying to offend you. I am not calling you a hypocrite. This is just something I noticed, something you possibly didn't. It's just been something that's been bothering me. Again, this could be something you didn't notice at all, but I did, and it kinda pissed me off. I stress this, because it is my understanding that I am close to being banned, and I don't want that to happen.

If you like them, fuck what I think. Fuck me. But anyway, people went further than to just mock me. They actually got people to just huddle around me and say I have no taste. I was mocked greatly, more than Ill ever to do you. Like I said before, I pointed out that the movies that are your favorite are mostly new and mainstream. Nothing wrong with that. I didnt bash them. Just saying.
