Steve did a whole episode on this awhile back, and I most certainly agree with him. Music in movies is like peanut butter and chocolate, it just works. Here are some of my favorite uses of a song in a movie, be sure to list your own! Mostly I just included the songs themselves, but for some movies I was able to find the scene itself.
Movie: Trainspotting 1996 Song: "Lust for Life" by Iggy Pop Scene: Intro ("Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family...")
Movie: Fight Club 1999 Song: "Where is My Mind" by Pixies Scene: Ending/Credits ("You've met me at a very strange time in my life")
Movie: Reservoir Dogs 1992 Songs: "Little Green Bag" by George Baker and "Stuck in the Middle With You" by Stealers Wheels
Movie: Apocalypse Now 1979 Song: "The End" by The Doors. This is only part of the song, the rest is used during the end (shocker!)
Movie: Watchmen 2009 Song: "The Times They Are a Changin'" by Bob Dylan

I've always loved/praised the end song in Clerks and Giuseppe Andrews' music in the film LOOK set the appropriate tone. The Rocky Horror Picture Show has an inspiring theme to it with catchy songs like Lets Do the Time Warp and Double Feature/Picture Show. It's movies like those that need music to be great and it wouldn't be the same without it.

Neither am I - that's one of the reasons I've always liked that scene. And the usage of the song. I'm surprised Rob Zombie forgot about this movie when he used the song in his movie.

I've been nothing but addicted to the show LOOK and Giuseppe Andrews' songs in the show really set the tone. Electrocuted and Reason are my favorite.
