Was reading something on the school internet that stated Will Ferrell and Eddie Murphy are two of the most overpaid actors. I don't think Eddie Murphy as much as Charlie Sheen. That drunk gets paid $2 mil per episode of the show Two and a Half Men, which is good, but $2 mil is ridiculous because all he does is abuse his power, scream at people, beat his wife, and do drugs.
Will Ferrell on the other hand I totally agree with. He's just not funny. He's one of the actors whose off his own medicine, like Jim Carrey who makes it in the list as well as most overpaid actor. Will Ferrell's filmography is loaded with crap; Kicking and Screaming (which is the only thing he does during his films), Talladega Nights, and Curious George are all failures he's done.
My point I'm trying to get across is who do you think is the most overpaid actor in the biz today? List your top five or number one pick in the comments below.
Mine: 1. Jim Carrey. 2. Will Ferrell. 3. Charlie Sheen. 4. Leonardo DiCaprio. 5. Adam Sandler.

I also have to say Sean Conery is a overpaid actor also, so is Stalone come on the guy played the crappiest movie next to Arnold the former govenator of California which were Judge Dread and Last Action Hero! Plus Jackie Chan is also overpaid!

I'd call Jackie Chan overrated. The guy does shit like The Spy Next Door and The Karate Kid and he still gets a rep (not to mention a paycheck).

I'll be frank with you, I'm not a fan of this thread one bit. The posts so far have been a whole lot of shit talking and nothing backing it up. You can't just use a broad statement like "overpaid" or "overrated" to describe someone without giving sufficient reasons.

I'll be frank with you, I'm not a fan of this thread one bit. The posts so far have been a whole lot of shit talking and nothing backing it up. You can't just use a broad statement like "overpaid" or "overrated" to describe someone without giving sufficient reasons. Most of the names, I feel, are self explanatory. Let's get started. As far as Jim Carrey, I don't like him. Simplistic enough. His movies suck and he's undeserving of the large sum of money he comes into from acting like a unsupervised jumping bean in his films. He acts like an idiot in almost everything he does. Yes Man, Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty, and Grinch were all childish films with overall no point then to just see him act like an ass and see his under amusing facial expressions. Though he has done films that are funny like Ace Ventura and The Mask. He's not all bad, but not all good. Will Ferrell I think I did enough justice on above and same goes with Charlie Sheen. Charlie Sheen gets $2 million an episode. As far as "shit talking", do you think he deserves that sum? There are people who do way better work than him and he doesn't deserve half of that amount. Leo I will say, I'm a bit hard on. But I think his praise for Titanic is just ridiculous. Havent seen it, but I don't think it can be THAT great that people call it his best movie and throw themselves down to their feet whenever the damn movie's brought up. I havent seen it because, like The Exorcist 2, I've been putting it off. Leo did earn my blessing with Shutter Island, but still, his paycheck is very large as he does just above average work. Just because he plays promising roles, doesn't mean people need to cum to his name. I want to pause and just state I dont hate any of these actors. I may have said that in a previous post but, truthfully, whether theyre overrated or overpaid, they're making more money then I'll ever and hey, I respect them. Adam Sandler you should agree with me on. He's such an ass and plays two different roles in his films. He can either be, big mean scary guy or little wee baby. Grown Ups, Click, and Big Daddy were all less than amusing and just loser comedies with laughs that are very low grade. Theres my diagnosis and frankly, I want to say thanks Dirk. This will make me get used to explaining/elaboration on things I stand up for. I really appreciate it. But I think you wanted me to elaborate because I talked shit about people you like. Leo and Jim Carrey were the one's you wanted to hear my opinion on and will call me out on. Also make not I never mentioned Inception or Eternal Sunshine in either paragraph...just wait for my diagnosis on those .

Most of your arguments were reasonable. While actors like Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler have done good movies, they also do a lot of crap. However... Leo I will say, I'm a bit hard on. But I think his praise for Titanic is just ridiculous. Havent seen it, but I don't think it can be THAT great that people call it his best movie and throw themselves down to their feet whenever the damn movie's brought up. Just because he plays promising roles, doesn't mean people need to cum to his name. Saying that his praise for Titanic is too much is a ludicrous statement given that fact that you haven't seen it. Just because it's a popular movie doesn't mean that you have a free pass to talk shit about it. Leo's filmography is practically spotless in my opinion.
