Lane (Robin Williams) and his girlfriend Claire (Alexie Gilmore) have a somewhat silly relationship in "World's Greatest Dad". Overall: 4/4 stars. Writer and Director Bobcat Goldthwait has now made his best movie. A black comedy about a struggling writer attempting to raise his arrogant child, Kyle. The movie stars Robin William (Mrs. Doubtfire, One Hour Photo) as Lance and Daryl Sabara (Spy Kids) as Kyle. Kyle is one of the most arrogant people I have ever seen in a film. A typical teenager, crabby and careless, but just so not into the world at all. One night Kyle dies while masturbating. Lance saves himself embarrassment by hanging Kyle in the closet with a suicide not he wrote himself. The school seems uninterested in Kyle's death most likely because he was a loner and no one ever noticed him. Soon his suicide letter gets published in the school paper and Lance's fame from TV and the kids sky rockets. Such an inspiring movie, its a wonder why more things like this dont get made. Goldthwait's example of love, loss, and lies, deals a great hand in this movie. You find yourself getting to really know these characters and almost feel like your in there life. In very limited release, though available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. World's Greatest Dad is a movie not to be missed.
