Well over the weekend i attended the Calgary Expo. For those of you who dont know what that is, it is the biggest comic entertainment convention in Canada next to the one in Toronto.
So i made the 3 hour drive from Edmonton to Calgary for this massive event. Now.. When we got there, the front doors were closed due to over capacity. The expo center could not allow anymore people in the building due to a fire hazard. So Me along with about 300 other people were stuck in a lobby, waiting for the doors to open. After about 2 hours we finally got in and it was awesome. They expected 50,000 people over the course of the weekend and it turned out.. the majority of the 50,000 showed up on Saturday.
The expo featured the entire cast of Star Trek the next generation. It was the first time they have been reunited since the show went off air over 10 years ago. This attributed to the massive crowds, because people from all around the world came to see the reunion. Other than Patrick Stewart and the Star Trek cast, there was Stan Lee, Adam West, Adam Baldwin, Robert Englund, Michael Rooker, Dave Prowse and so many more.
Overall i enjoyed the con, a little crowded which made it difficult to see the big stars but i still got to check out some cool stuff and get a picture with the Million Dollar Man. With me being the big wrestling fan that i am, i dressed up as The Macho man Randy Savage for the day which seemed to get some good praise.
