As much as I dislike this sick S.O.B., I could never hope for the death sentence. Why resolve killing with more killing? "An eye for an eye makes all the men of the land blind." If anything, this psycho should rot away in prison for the rest of his life, as well as be forced to share a cell with Big Bubba. Though, in all odds, the court will very likely go for the death sentence with this case. Though, it will likely be a long dragged out process, much like how it is for Jared Lauffner.

Rot away in prison? So we can pay more taxes to keep these degenerates fed? Kill him. I don't always go straight to the death penalty, but this time, I feel the crime is justified. Shooters should immediately go. The tragedy and impact the families have faced from this incident will be irreversible and indelible for the rest of their lives. His should not continue.

But I haven't heard coolduder said anything about that during his review on the movie! because those people need our support! Shawn always mention something tragic happens in movie history! I think that was very shallow of him! I haven't seen his messageboard to see if he has a thread on that tragic event I might have to post on his board so people would hear about this tragic day in movie history!

Shawn doesn't want to get into it and I don't blame him. Not to mention, his review of the movie was only shortly after the midnight release, do he likely didn't get news of the shooting until he went home.

i just heard one of the victims is suing Warner Brothers over the shooting. Now i know the shooting is a tragedy and if i was involved i would want an explanation BUT. to sue the company who made the movie who had nothing to do with the guy or the shooting is RIDICULOUS!!!!! Movies dont create nut cases like this guy. Some people are just insane. that simple. Warner Brothers should not take any blame for this incident, all they did was make a movie that was meant to entertain.

Just typical idiocy.

"Crime cannot be tolerated. Criminals thrive on the indulgence of society's understanding."
An actual quote from Batman Begins which i just finished watching. Seems too fitting not to post.

Just heard on the news it could take up to SIX MONTHS before it is decided whether or not to pursue a death penalty trial. One of the things that always frustrates me about this country's legal system is how long everything takes. To get the trial going, for the trial to end, for a decision to be made, what kind of trial to pursue, etc.

Just an update; the scumbag went back to court yesterday, where they opened TWO THOUSAND pages of unsealed documents to try and gather all the evidence there is for the case. Holmes's attorneys say he is mentally ill and they need more time to completely evaluate his illness. His next court appearance isn't until November 13, 2012, so we have a long way to go.
But you know with this means? I can see it now; not guilty by reason of insanity. Complete bullshit.

New booking photo taken yesterday at the Arapahoe County Courthouse. Needless to say, it's horrifying.
