Not popular but part 2 tbh, it had a dark plot and Fred was at his scariest.

Probably Part 3: Dream Warriors.
But, this series rarely tapped into my fears. Mostly- it's good visuals and bad writing. Although a few of the movies had some good moments, and of course Wes Craven's original is much better than average.

Dear No Personalty I also like Part 3 because I like how the teens of Elm Street when they were in the mental ward used their dream powers to stop Freddy and I also liked when Freddy tapped into their fears but three of my favorite things in that movie was the scene when Freddy was the Television and said "Welcome to Prime Time Bitch!" Second I like seeing Heather Lagenkamp reprise her role of Nancy. Finally if you notice the medicine she was taken to keep her from dreaming was Hypnocil that medicine also made another appearance in another film Freddy vs. Jason. so I like to hear from you again No Personality you are a good friend!

Gracias, patface! I love that scene myself btw; Freddy at his most brutal and dangerous, no more cat-and-mouse and all that, we get to see his real power and that shows what a threat he really is...

The first one mainly, it had a true effectiveness. Then was overwhelmed by viciously bad sequels. I only found 2 and New Nightmare good.

I just think usually out of a classic series, the first is the best. Though, in Jason's case, Manhattan was the best.
