To comment on your review of The House of the Devil I was too surprised a horror director of this time wanted to create something like a seventies horror film. Ti West too directed the sequel to Cabin Fever even though he is trying to get his name removed and his original version out.

All they have to do is put it on Netflix: Watch Instant. I don't believe a single company has done that with another remake. Not Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead, Zombie's Halloweens, Black Christmas, The Fog, The Hills Have Eyes. NOTHING. Just The Crazies and My Bloody Valentine.

Is it bad that I like most of the remakes? Should I be killed? Not really. I can't like them because I'm a horror fan and to the horror genre, they're killing it. But if you're an action fan, they're made just for people like you. I have to call them bad because I'm a judge of horror. But I don't know anything about action- so, if those damn films would stop pretending they're horror, they could be acceptable. Conclusion: sure it's okay, but I wouldn't brag about it if I were you. |

I keep WAITING for Netflix to put it on Watch Instant. The Miss Bliss season was on WI for awhile and now it's gone. Bastards... Anyway, yes- it's one of the quintessential TV shows of my youth.

Sorry for the abrupt turn around, I was just wondering because my dad watches it even though he calls it "stupid" and I sat down with him and watched two episodes yesterday. I enjoy it.

Parents and kids enjoying the same things is unholy. All parents are supposed to hate what you watch. Yeah, the show was often hilariously bad but innocently so. Nobody took it seriously, though. And I don't think, even though it was popular, that it ever escalated into the cultural frenzy that we see over things like Justin Bieber or Twilight. The world was such a simpler place then. If I had any money, I'd have bought the boxsets already. It's not up on YouTube- only a few of the Tori episodes or a piece or two of some of the earlier episodes.

Well... I've got some pretty exciting news:
Netflix just put up the whole Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series on Watch Instant, including the 1995 feature film (Turbo, the sequel, has been on there for months now).
Guess what that means... It means I now have no choice but to do a review of the show. All 145 episodes of the first 3 seasons AND the 1995 film. (And possibly the Zeo follow-up afterward.)
