Look season one just came to Dvd and I have been all over that like a wet t-shirt. Rewatched the first two episodes and probably will watch more tonight. Further cements my statement that this is the best new show. Not only is it provocative, but it's voyeuristic and so believable. It's honestly such a thrill to watch and I've never been bored at all.
I've also noticed that the music in the show is amazing (so happy they could get the rights for all the songs, so far). I especially love the original Giuseppe Andrews music he plays in every episode.

HIMYM almost single-handedly disproves my "All 4 camera sitcoms except Seinfeld are awful." It's surprisingly, legitimately, amazing. It's easy to find out why, though. The writers, cast, and crew actually care about making a compelling, original, hilarious show. The ensemble cast is one of the best on TV. The whole "How I met your mother" wrapper works for and against the show, although it's mostly a positive. It does cause some Inception level "Flashbacks within flashbacks within a flashback" nonsense. Also, most of the stories Ted are telling are pretty non-essential to the bigger picture, unless Marshall creating a fantasy baseball league is somehow tied to Ted meeting his wife. But, the narration helps create some interesting situations, like an episode where Future Ted forgets the name of a woman Present-Day Ted was dating, and everyone just call her "Blah Blah" for the whole episode. It does, however, create a complete lack of tension for many storylines. We knew Ted and Robin had to break up because in the first episode he says "Aunt Robin." We knew Lily got pregnant because Ted accidentally told that story earlier than he should've. I suppose it's more about the ride than the destination. Does this really disprove my theory? Not really. At best, it edits it to "All 4 camera sitcoms except Seinfeld and How I Met Your Mother are awful." The laugh track is barely noticeable, and rarely, if ever, disrupts the flow of the show. Most times I forget it's even there.

I don't know if I mentioned it here or what, but Netflix WI got Parks & Recreation: Season 3. No words, as usual. Best show on TV right now in my (very biased) opinion.

I've caught a few episodes, and I like it as well. Wouldn't call it my favorite, but I have found it to be good for the same reasons you did. Mainly the cast's exceptional chemistry. I would agree too; the laugh track is hardly noticeable.

Best show on TV right now in my (very biased) opinion. Hm, why so? What else do you watch? Thursday I watched the last episode of Community for awhile. It. Was. A-MAZING. I wasn't sold on the whole musical thing until I heard Donald Glover (AKA Childish Gambino) drop a beat about being a Jehovahs Witness who will infiltrate Chirstmas. Things somehow managed to get even better when Allison Brie gave Joel McHale the worlds most uncomfortable lapdance of all time, and we were treated to an acapella version of that one Christmas song.

Best show on TV right now in my (very biased) opinion. Hm, why so? What else do you watch? I don't subscribe to any other shows that I've seen thus far but thanks to my housemates- I have a constant stream of shitty detective shows playing behind me at night. I thought Monk was okay when it was on (it's over, right?) but nothing compared to P&R. Burn Notice and In Plain Sight could be worse but Monk was better. The Walking Dead makes me violent, Justified makes me homicidal. I could sit through White Collar (like Monk) with little pain but, again, it's not exactly groundbreaking. Criminal Minds is shit, NCIS is literally competition for the worst show I've ever seen (on par with the ultra-awfulness of 24, Rescue Me, The Shield, Family Guy at its' worst, and The Sopranos - yeah, I said it: that show is pretentious and I can't stand it), Ghost Whisperer (like I need to say anything here), Bones is nothing special, Leverage (I love Gina Bellman but the formula of the comedic caper detective show is lame, not that you'd argue it isn't), and Medium (when it was on - I can't tell what's on or not anymore thanks to DVD). Oh, and one of them likes Grey's Anatomy. All of this, for some insane reason, has given me the urge to watch a detective show too and Netflix recently got the 1st "series" of Rosemary & Thyme. Far from perfect but it has its' moments. The last 2 episodes I watched in particular were a lot of fun (one of them was about Russian exchange students being murdered at an uptight British academy and the other was about people in a garden community dealing drugs and setting up elaborate traps to kill blind people). Back to modern TV: I saw maybe 1 episode of How I Met Your Mother (didn't exactly rock my world) but I did catch a compilation video on YouTube of "Barney" clips and... wow, can I say - since I'm not a fan of the show - I'm extremely disappointed in the culture's embrace of Neil Patrick Harris not as a strong gay man but instead as a well-dressed clown. To say the least, I don't exactly buy him as a womanizer. I wish I wasn't so trained to always examine every little movement every actor makes, but Harris goes in the pile with all the other actors trying to be an extreme type of something and yet can't convince me.

My mom loved The Shield when it was on. Also, I agree, I can't stand or sit through shows like 24, Criminal Minds, CSI, etc. Too over-the-top and droning.

Survivor... This is probably the first time that I dont have a favorite.. Everyone sucks this season. You weren't really biased during the start of the first season with Redemption Island either. I totally disagree, though. This season has one of the most worthwhile casts in seasons. They all work extremely well together, and it actually isn't a drag like it was for the last, maybe, two seasons. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that they're on one island.

I watched the full second season of Spartacus.. Epic show.. New guy is all right.. Have to wait till 2013 for season 3 I heard... South Park finally had a good episode this week.. Survivor is okay.. Watched every single Walking Dead episode.. Addicting show.. N' I have been watching random Kenny VS Spenny episodes that I've already seen 16,000 times. I need another season.. dammit. 3rd post in a row.. I don't care.
