Um, care to expand a little Steve? Kanye as a person has nothing to do with Kanye as an artist. Think of them as two completely different people. Just saying "I didn't like it" isn't gonna cut it.

Um, care to expand a little Steve? Kanye as a person has nothing to do with Kanye as an artist. Think of them as two completely different people. Just saying "I didn't like it" isn't gonna cut it. Before I start let me say that I fixed my song video below. But you asked for it. Kanye West has always been nothing really to me. I like Stronger, but not much else. There isn't a lot about him that catches my eye. When he was at the VMA's he was a jerkoff. It pissed me off. I dont like either him or Taylor Swift, but she didn't deserve that. That drunk stumbled on the stage and took away her glory. Asshole! Anyway, lets talk about the song. First off the opening is way too long. It's a minute, not extremely long, but after thirty seconds I thought you linked the wrong song. Finally, the song begins. I like the beat, the vibe is nice, then Kanye's voice comes in. Kanye's rap doesn't work too well with the beat. It sort of makes an abrupt kind of umph that is difficult to explain. It doesnt really flow right. Kanye doesn't drop anything memorable, and the track is pretty boring otherwise. Some parts of the song (like the chrous) is okay, and like I stated above the beat is pretty catchy. But its a passable tune.

Oh alright. I guess the Kanye song didn't exactly light the world on fire, so I'll go with something you guys will probably like. Well, probably not.
Song #9 Handsome Devil Song #4 Green Day "Longview"
Now, hold on a minute. Before you go and bash this song before you even hear it, listen to the bassline. Just listen to it. It's incredible.

I am still going to listen to that and judge it (and Green Day as well). But I'm still not alone right now.

I don't think we ever really did turns.
What we did is that we all put up 1 video a week. Every Monday.

I say will do it again on Monday, just to keep something consistent. I guess whoever gets here first on Monday morning/afternoon gets to go first.

Hey guys remember this? Let's just pretend this is Monday. I'm sorry. I just spent the whole day playing Civ 5.
Monday, July 18th
Band: LCD Soundsystem Song: Pow Pow Album: This is Happening (2010)
James Murphy cites bands like Daft Punk, Talking Heads, and David Bowie as influences. This song shows that better than almost any of their songs. The house instrumentals, heavy rhythm drum use, and almost spoken word style vocals. This song is a masterpiece. On the technical side, the arrangement has the loud quiet loud dynamic of Pixies. But there's clear passion here and a good sense of humor with the lyrics. It's something you can dance to but it stands up outside of the club setting.
As a huge Talking Heads fan, I listen to this and think they never broke up.
